The program is coordinated through the Municipality of Anchorage and is set up to allow children to create works of art that require a lot of messy mediums. August 7, 2008 Planet Beach Pageant Erin Lynn Gray, Mrs. Alaska United States® 2008, will be judging at the local Miss Alaska Planet Beach pageant at the Peanut Farm in Anchorage, Alaska. The winner will go on to compete for the title of Miss Planet Beach who will receive $100,000, a Planet Beach franchise of their own, and a modeling contract. August 8, 2008 H.U.G.S. and Coats for Kids Mrs. Alaska United States® 2008 is serving the Mountain View Community Rec Center on Friday, August 8th from 11 am - 1:30 pm, distributing "Hugs" and coats to children in need. H.U.G.S. and Coats for Kids is a community partnership with the Catholic Social Services, Salvation Army, Lutheran Social Services, and the Anchorage School District. August 16, 2008 Kenai Peninsula State Fair, Ninilchik, Alaska Mrs. Alaska United States® 2008, Erin Lynn Gray, will be in Ninilchik, Alaska for the annual Kenai Peninsula State Fair weekend. She will be in the Saturday morning parade at 10 am riding in a brand new convertible Mustang provided by Stanley Ford, Inc. of Soldotna, as well as competing in the Back Woods Girl Competition at 3 pm, where she will have to pack water, stack fire wood, fry eggs, take care of a baby, and start a fire with the supplies provided! October 3-4, 2008 Junior High Girls' Overnighter, Anchorage, Alaska Mrs. Alaska United States® 2008, Erin Lynn Gray, will be sharing her heart with Anchorage's middle school girls regarding outward vs. inner beauty and allowing God to use you wherever you are at December 4, 2008 Salvation Army Bell Ringer, 5th Avenue Mall, Anchorage The Mrs. Alaska pageant has coordinated once again with the Salvation Army to help raise funds and awareness as a holiday bell ringer. Erin Lynn Gray will be ringing the kettle bell for the Salvation Army on Thursday, December 4th from 3-5 pm in the 5th Avenue Mall's Skybridge. Come out and show your support! December 5, 2008 Anchorage Senior Center, Holiday Bazaar Join Erin Lynn Gray as she supports the local senior center's annual holiday bazaar fundraiser. The bazaar's hours are from 10 until 5 on Saturday. Individuals can volunteer as game assistants, event staff, gift shop help, and much, much more.
